Mediation Procedures

Mediation procedures are based on the following criteria:

  • Individual responsibility
    The parties are expected to find possible solutions themselves
  • Voluntary participation
    The parties themselves actively seek to participate in the proceedings
  • Knowledge
    Any decisions made are achieved on the basis of full knowledge of all the necessary circumstances
  • Confidentiality
    The participants and the mediators work on the basis of strict confidentiality
  • Open-endedness
    There are no preconditions or pre-formulated solutions which must be achieved and the results and targets are determined by the parties themselves during the course of the mediation
  • Independence/Neutrality
    The mediator acts in an independent and neutral manner in relation to both parties, he/she shall respect the interests, rights and position of both parties equally
