All lawyers admitted in Germany are obliged to take out professional liability insurance pursuant to §51 s.1 and s.4 Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO).
Renate Augustin, Stuart Bugg and Jonathan Augustin-Bugg each maintain professional liability insurance with Ergo Versicherung AG [address: Victoriaplatz 1, 40477 Düsseldorf, Germany/EU Member States].

The insurance cover complies with the requirements of §51 of the Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO).

The European Commission provides a platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution (OS platform), which is available at http://www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Conciliation offices for out-of-court settlement of disputes between lawyers and their clients are the regional bar association and the conciliation office of the bar association (Rauchstraße 26, 10787 Berlin, E-Mail: schlichtungsstelle@s-d-r.org), both can be found on the homepage of the Federal Bar Association http://www.brak.de/fuer-verbraucher/schlichtung/.

The contents of our pages are created and monitored with great care. However, we cannot assume any liability for the correctness, completeness and topicality of the contents.

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on this site in accordance with § 7 s.1 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). According to §§ 8-10 TMG, however, we are not obliged as a service provider to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. If we become aware of any infringements, we will remove such links immediately.

As far as personal data such as name, address, email addresses are collected on our pages, this is done as far as possible on a voluntary basis. The use of the offers and services is, as far as possible, possible without providing personal data. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
